TSTET 2016 Notification | Telangana State TET 2016 Notification: Telangana State decided to conduct its first Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2016 on 22nd May 2016TSTET 2016 Application Process, Exam Scheme, Eligibility Criteria, Memo/ Certificate Validity, Weightage for TET Scores in DSC/ TRT etc. are given below....

TS TET 2016 Schedule, Important Dates:
Download of Hall Tickets - 13th May 2016 onwards.
Exam Date - 22nd May 2016

Results Declaration - 1st June 2016.

The candidates who did not qualify in the 1st , 2nd, 3rd and 4th APTETs can also apply for th 1st TSTET. The candidates who got qualified in the earlier APTETs can also apply for TSTET if they desire improvement over their previous TET score.

1. TSTET 2016 Online Application:
Detailed procedure for applying ONLINE will be given in the Information Bulletin. Candidates can download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free of cost from the TET website tstet.cgg.gov.in.

Fee and submission of Application Online:
The fee prescribed for appearing for TSTET (including examination fee) is Rs. 200/- for only Paper-I or only Paper-II or both.
Candidates can pay the fee through e-Seva/ mee seva centers and submit online application at the TSTET website.

2. TSTET 2016 Exam Scheme:
TSTET will be conducted in 2 papers viz. Paper-I & Paper-II.
*The candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear for Paper-I.
*The candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper- II.
*The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for both papers, Paper-I and Paper-II.

TSTET 2016 - Paper I Exam Scheme/ Pattern:
Paper I (for Classes I to V); No. of MCQs - 150:
Duration of examination: 2½ hours
Structure and Content (All Compulsory):
1 Child Development and Pedagogy 30Q- 30M
2 Language I 30Q- 30M
3 Language II (English) 30Q- 30M
4 Mathematics 30Q- 30M
5 Environmental Studies 30Q- 30M
Total: 150Q- 150M

TSTET 2016 - Paper II Exam Scheme/ Pattern:
Paper II (for classes VI to VIII); No of MCQs - 150:
Duration of examination: 2 1/2 hours
Structure and Content:
1 Child Development and Pedagogy 30Q- 30M
2 Language I 30Q- 30M
3 Language II (English) 30Q- 30M
4 Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies 60Q- 60M
Total 150Q- 150M

*For Paper II Science & Mathematics:
Maths 30 Q (24+6), Phy. Science 12 Q Biology 12 Q, Pedagogy 6Q
Social Studies 60Q (48 + 12).

The question paper shall be bilingual i.e., it shall be English followed by the Language I chosen for all languages except for Sanskrit. For Sanskrit it shall be Telugu followed by Sanskrit.

3. TSTET 2016 Exam Date:
TSTET will be conducted in April 2nd week, 2016 (Tentative) in all the Districts of the State.
The duration and timings of the test are given below:
Paper-I : 9.30 am to 12.00 noon (duration 2 ½ hours)
Paper-II : 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm (duration 2 ½ hours)

4. TSTET 2016 Examination Centers:
TSTET shall be conducted in all the 10 Districts of the State. Candidate can choose any Examination Centre (District) of his choice. However, when the capacity of any particular Examination Centre (District) gets exhausted that particular Examination Centre (District) will not be displayed in the list of examination centers given in the online application form. In such case the candidate has to choose Examination Centre (District) of his/her choice from the remaining list available.

5. Telangana State TET 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates at the time of applying for TSTET 2016 should be in possession of the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for I to V classes (Paper-I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper-II).

Candidates pursuing final year of any of the Teacher Education Courses recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be, and/ or the Language Pandit Training Courses, during the ongoing academic year can also appear for the TSTET 2016.

In Telangana, the following languages are offered under Language I viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya and Tamil. Candidate has to choose one of these 9 languages under Language I under TSTET. Those candidates would have compulsorily studied in that language either as medium of study or as first language at least up to Class X as stated in the eligibility criteria above.

Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V:
(i) Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
(ii) Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed/ D.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII:
(i) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). (OR)
(ii) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines. (OR)
(iii) 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. (OR)

Language Pandit Training (LPT) Qualifications:
Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test 2016 Syllabus:
In respect of Telangana language II under TSTET shall be English for all candidates irrespective of medium of the school to which they intend to seek employment.

Child Development and Pedagogy under Paper- I syllabus is based on the syllabus of D.Ed curriculum focusing on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning in Classes I to V and above.

The syllabus for Child Development and Pedagogy under Paper II is based on the syllabus of D.Ed/ B.Ed curriculum focusing on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning in Classes VI and above.

The syllabi for Language I & II shall be based on proficiency in the language, elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities (standard up to Class X level).

The syllabi for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V of state syllabus for Paper I (new). The difficulty standard of questions will be up to X class level. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will contain MCQs not only on content but also on pedagogy. In Mathematics 24 MCQs will be on content and 6 MCQs on pedagogy. Similarly in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on content and 6 MCQs on pedagogy.

For Paper II the syllabi for TSTET 2016 of Mathematics & Sciences, Social Studies are based on topics of Classes VI to VIII with difficulty standard of questions upto Secondary Level.

6. Pass Criteria in TET:
The criteria for considering pass in TSTET is as follows:
Community - Pass Marks
i) OC 60% Marks and above
ii) BC 50% Marks and above
iii) SC/ ST/ PWD 40% Marks and above

7. TET Memo/ Certificate Validity:
The Marks Memo/ Certificate of TSTET 2016 shall be made available on TSTET website only. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring APTET Certificate. A person who has qualified TSTET may also appear again for improving his/her score. In accordance with the NCTE guidelines the TSTET certificate shall be valid for a period of seven years from the date of examination

8. Weightage for TET Scores in DSC/ TRT:
20% weightage will be given to TET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment of the State Government i.e., 20% weightage is for TSTET score and 80% weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up selection list.

9. Exemption from passing TSTET:
Teachers who were appointed before NCTE notification, dated 23.08.2010 on selection by District Selection Committee or by competent authority in Govt. / Local Authority as per Recruitment rules prevalent at that time are exempted from appearing at TET Exam.

However, teachers working in private schools whose appointments were not approved by competent authority in Government are not exempted from passing TET. Such teachers of private unaided school can appear at TET conducted by either state Government or Central Government.

Teachers working in private aided schools whose appointment is not approved by the competent authority should invariably appear at TSTET only.

i have chosen my education as 4 year B.A.Ed (option III), but my qualification is B.A and 1 yeard B.Ed (option II), is that ok or should i need to apply online again - plz help me

Dear friend, TET officials said that they will give a chance to the candidates to correct the mistakes related to certain issues. If you want to be in safe zone you can go for a new application.
