CTET 2016 Notification (February) - Paper I & II Exam Scheme, Structure & Syllabus

CBSE announced schedule for CTET 2016. 9th Edition of CTET will be held on 21st February 2016 & 10th Edition of CTET will be held on 18th September 2016. CBSE issued CTET - Feb 2016 Notification and will conduct the 9th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 21-02-2016 for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII. Applicability of CTET:
(i) CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
(ii) CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
(iii) Schools owned and managed by the State Government/ local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.

CTET 2016 Exam Scheme:
There will be two papers of CTET.
*Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
*Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers.

CTET 2016 Exam Structure & Content:
Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage:
(150 Minutes, 150 Multiple Choice Questions, 150 Marks)
(i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs - 30 Marks

Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage:
(150 Minutes, 150 Multiple Choice Questions, 150 Marks)
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(ii) Language I: 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(iii) Language II: 30 MCQs - 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics and Science: 60 MCQs - 60 Marks
(for Mathematics and Science teacher)
(v) Social Studies/ Social Science: 60 MCQs - 60 Marks
(for Social Studies/ Social Science teacher)
*For any other teacher – either (IV) or (V)

CTET 2016 - Important Dates:
Submission of On-line application 04-12-2015 to 28-12-2015
Last Date for Fee Submission: 29-12-2015
Period for On-line Corrections: 30-12-2015 to 04-01-2016
Download Admit Card from CTET website: 25-01-2016 onwards
CTET 2016 Exam Date: 21-02-2016 (Sunday)
(Paper-II - 09:30 to 12:00 & Paper-I - 14:00 to 16:30)
